When I was a kid, I distinctly remember long hours (well, it felt like hours!) sitting on the toilet in front of the bathroom mirror while my mom did my hair. Comb clenched between her teeth, she would often spend the majority of her time just making sure my part was straight. To this day, I hate having a straight part. But one thing’s for sure, my mom always made sure I walked out the door with a cute hairdo. With a daughter of my own, I can’t wait until her hair is long enough enough to actually do something with (and so people stop calling her a boy!).
